Share GPS Coordinates without Location Share+?

Is there a way to manually send GPS coordinates to a contact without have Location Share+?

I simply need to do a one time send of GPS coordinates to a friend who is hiking in at a later time. I know I can do it automatically with Location Share +, but wanted to know if I can manually do it just the one time.

  Hi Wade Brown,

   

  Yes! There is a little "location pin" button in the messaging view. You can press this to send current coordinates in ZOLEO message thread at any time.

  Tap the little "pin" icon to the left of "Type a message".

  Tapping the drop pin (circled below to check I have the right one) brings up a text box "Introducing Location Share+" on my device.

  Is this a new change, or a consequence of me having deactivated that subscription?

  Is there any way to revert to being able to tap that icon and use it to send my location in a regular message?

  I’m new to the device, but I believe you can send a one time check in message by just pressing the check button on the device. It worked for me.

  Hi Wade Brown,

   

  It's a different Pin :) It's the pin to the left of where you type a message. You can also change this in the settings so any check in always includes location by going to:

   

  Settings > Check-in, Location & SOS Settings > Check In Settings > Include location with check in messages.
