Update to the most recent version of the app from your Apple or Android App Store.

This release contains a new ZOLEO device firmware version however it is not a mandatory update. It is encouraged to update the firmware if you can, please refer to the link in the box below on more information on how to update the ZOLEO firmware.

**We recommend doing this from home or before heading out on a trip where you can download the app and complete the device software upgrade before you need to use the device or app.**

Changes in this version:

Ability to include a location pin with messages (App-to-app, SMS, and Email)
App-to-app messages revised to 900+ characters
Fix for muting/un-muting Location Share+ notifications on iOS

Include location in text messages

ZOLEO users can now share their location in messages to their contacts alongside additional text rather than sending it separately. Tapping the location pin in any conversation type (app-to-app, SMS, email) adds the location coordinates.

You can choose to only send the location coordinates by tapping the location pin and pressing Send. You can also type a message to send with the location coordinates. Note: Including location will not use available characters from your message.

Other General Fixes and Improvements

App-to-app messages are 900+ characters

The available character count for ZOLEO app-to-app messages has changed from 950 characters to 900 characters. This change resolves an issue with how multi-part messages are calculated, including messages which use emojis and accented characters.

Sending full length Email messages:

An issue occasionally preventing full length/maximum character email messages from being sent from the ZOLEO device has been resolved. Full length messages will now be sent successfully via satellite.

Unread messages on reinstallation:

Reinstalling the ZOLEO app will no longer display all previously received messages as unread.

Muting/unmuting Location Share+ notifications for iOS:

Push notifications or periodic location updates are intended to be disabled/muted by default. Location Share+ recipients using the iOS version of the app have reported issues with being able to control notifications. The mute/speaker button on the Updates tab of a chat thread is operational again and restores the ability to enable and disable notifications for periodic location updates.

When muted/disabled, push notifications for periodic location updates will not be received.
When un-muted/enabled, push notifications for periodic location updates will be received.
Notifications for Location Share+ start and stop messages will always be received regardless of the mute setting.
