Contacts are an essential part of the communication process. When composing a new message from the chats area and no contacts appear, please ensure your ZOLEO app has been linked or connected to your ZOLEO device before and that Follow-Me Messaging is enabled.
If you do not have a ZOLEO device, only ZOLEO app-to-app contacts will be displayed.
Note: The Follow-Me feature does not require a physical connection to the ZOLEO device; However, a one-time connection is required to enable it.
To connect/link to your ZOLEO and enable Follow-Me Messaging:
- Open the ZOLEO App.
- Select the icon in the middle (ZOLEO logo) at the bottom of your screen.
- Tap on the IMEI if shown; otherwise, it will connect automatically and not display the IMEI.

You can also confirm that Follow-Me Messaging is enabled from the ZOLEO App > Settings > Under the heading Device > Follow-Me Messaging should appear.
If you are having trouble seeing your contacts in the ZOLEO App, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Refresh the App: Sometimes, changes may not immediately reflect in the app. Try closing and re-opening the ZOLEO App to refresh the contact list.
- Using the ZOLEO App: open Settings > My ZOLEO App Account > Refresh ZOLEO App Contacts.
2. Check App Permissions: Ensure that the ZOLEO App has permission to access your contacts. You can check this from the settings on your smartphone or tablet.
- Android: go to Settings > Select Search and type in "Apps" > Scroll down to the ZOLEO App > App info > Permissions > Enable Contacts.
- iOS: go to Settings > Scroll down to the ZOLEO App > Contacts > Enable.
3. Update the App: Make sure you have the latest version of the ZOLEO App installed as updates often fix bugs and improve functionality. Visit the Google Play Store or the App Store, and check if there are any available updates.
4. Built-in Help: The ZOLEO App has a built-in help topic list for common questions. You can access this through the ZOLEO App Settings > Help > ZOLEO Help.
