This article provides an overview of the Message Feed feature, available to ZOLEO customers with compatible subscriptions and enterprise users.
What is Message Data Feed?
ZOLEO Data Feeds have been enhanced to support command messages (pre-configured messages). You can now send command messages to a specific email address using the ZOLEO app.
These will depend on the integrated application you are using but include commands such as #OK, #Help, #StartShift, and #EndShift.
Benefits of ZOLEO Data Feeds:
- Access to location information generated via Check-in and Location Share+ updates.
- Real-time SOS feeds in case of an emergency.
- A real-time service that shares the event as soon as it reaches the ZOLEO server.
How It Works
Below is the journey of a command message followed from the ZOLEO app to the application partner's server through the ZOLEO Cloud Connect platform. Please note that the application must be integrated with the ZOLEO Cloud Connect platform - check with your application provider.
- Message Initiation: A user sends a command or shortcode to a designated email address previously whitelisted in the ZOLEO Connect system.
- Reception in ZOLEO Cloud: The command message is received in the ZOLEO cloud connect system, which acts as the intermediary.
- Processing the Command: The ZOLEO Cloud Connect system processes the command.
- Relying the Command: Once processed, the command is relayed to the application partner's server via secure data feeds.
