How do I send an SOS?

How-to send an SOS alert:

(Note: The ZOLEO App is not required to declare an SOS)

Via the ZOLEO Device:

1. Ensure ZOLEO Device is face up with a clear view of the sky.

2. Lift the SOS Flap

3. Press & hold the SOS button for 3 seconds

4. LEDS on the ZOLEO device will SPIN RED

5. 10-second countdown starts

6. The ZOLEO device will emit an ascending chirp sound

7. If an SOS is cancelled during the 10-second countdown (press & hold SOS button for 5 seconds), the SOS alert will not be sent to the emergency response provider (see: How to cancel an SOS)

8. The SOS LED light will slow DOUBLE BLINK (red) when SOS is in ACTIVE state

If the ZOLEO Device is OFF and the SOS button is pressed for 3 seconds, it will power on & start the SOS feature at the same time.

Via the ZOLEO App:

1. Ensure ZOLEO Device is face up with a clear view of the sky and paired to the ZOLEO App.

2. Navigate to the ZOLEO App SOS Tab (bottom menu)

3. Press & hold the SEND SOS button for 3 seconds

4. An animation shows the user how long to press

5. 10-second countdown starts

6. The user can cancel the SOS before the SOS is sent to the emergency response provider

7. The ZOLEO device will CHIRP in ASCENDING tone for the countdown

8. Progressive SOS starts

• Until you cancel the SOS, a new SOS alert containing your position is sent every six (6) minutes.
• The coordination partner will attempt to communicate with you via messaging over the ZOLEO app. If you are unresponsive, they will continue with their emergency protocol. Local 911 services or search and rescue services will be dispatched to your location.
