Your ZOLEO device comes with a micro-USB cable for charging, which can draw power from any active USB port, including most vehicle and wall chargers. If you misplace your charging cable, you may replace it with any standard micro-USB cable.
Initial Setup
When unboxing your ZOLEO device for the first time, charge the battery fully before turning it on and connecting to the ZOLEO App. For optimal performance, charge your device regularly and avoid letting it run completely flat.
Important Warning
Do not keep your ZOLEO device plugged into a charger for extended periods. While your device contains internal charging circuitry to manage the battery and minimize degradation to the cells, leaving it on the charger for extended periods can damage cells over time and reduce battery performance.
Temperature Guidelines
The ideal battery charging temperature range is 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F). If the temperature falls outside this range, a warning will appear in the ZOLEO App, and the Power LED on the device will indicate a charging fault.
How To Charge Your ZOLEO Device
- Open the protective USB cover.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the USB port on the ZOLEO device and the vehicle or wall charger. Using a USB-compliant charger that can supply a minimum of 1.5 A connected directly to a wall socket is recommended. This is typical of any modern smartphone charger.
- When connecting the device to charge, apply moderate pressure to the end of the cable that plugs into the device for about 5 seconds, or until the charging light illuminates and you hear a sound.
- While charging, the Power LED will be lit amber and will change to green when fully charged. If the device is on, the LED will flash at regular intervals.
