The ZOLEO app is the key to all the awesome features of ZOLEO. The Status Bar in the ZOLEO App provides a real-time view of your ZOLEO device’s connectivity and messaging behavior.
Located at the bottom of the app, the bar gives you quick access to device insights and expands for more detailed status information.
Collapsed View
When collapsed, the Status Bar displays key indicators for:

Bluetooth and Device Connection

- A grey ZOLEO icon indicates the app is not connected to your device.
- If the ZOLEO icon is green and you can see battery and signal indicators, your ZOLEO is successfully connected.
- The battery icon color changes based on battery level:

- Green: Above 50%
- Yellow: 25% - 50%
- Red: Below 25%

- The battery icon color changes based on battery level:
- A grey ZOLEO icon indicates the app is not connected to your device.

Satellite Signal Strength

- Green bars indicate the available signal strength.

Grey bars indicate the signal strength capabilities your device can reach. They appear when the signal is weaker to help you better understand signal quality.

Standby Indicator

- When your ZOLEO is in standby mode to preserve battery between message checks, the Status Bar displays a standby icon and a tooltip explaining your device is temporarily inactive but ready to check messages at the next scheduled message check.

Expanded View
Swipe up on the Status Bar to view complete device information. The expanded Status Bar shows:
Battery Status
- Displays your ZOLEO's battery percentage.
- Icon color changes based on battery level:

- Green: Above 50%
- Yellow: 25% - 50%
- Red: Below 25%

- If charging, a power symbol appears on the battery icon.
Satellite Message Check Details
- Last message check: Shows the most recent check time over the Iridium satellite network.
- Next message check: Indicates the upcoming scheduled check time.
- Message check interval: Default is every 12 minutes, but this can be adjusted in the app's Settings. For more information, please visit How To Change The Message Check Interval.
Connection Type
- Displays how messages will be delivered:

- Mobile data when connected to cellular or Wi-Fi.
- Satellite when no mobile networks are available.

Manual Message Check
To manually check for messages:
- Tap the Check Messages button in the expanded Status Bar.
- The satellite signal indicator will show green bars, showing the signal strength as your device sends and receives messages.
If the signal is weak, reposition your ZOLEO for a clearer view of the sky to improve satellite performance.
SOS Mode & Alerts
When SOS mode is active:
- The Status Bar will clearly show that you are in SOS mode.
- Additional alerts or contextual tips may also appear depending on device behavior.
App Version 6.6 or Lower
