The ZOLEO communicator has a sleep mode, designed to reduce unnecessary power consumption. By default, the ZOLEO device checks for messages every 12 minutes or when sending a message and then returns to sleep. This default can be changed in the device settings, an article about changing the message check interval is here.
The table below illustrates battery performance against the message check interval.

There are two types of battery warnings with ZOLEO, a low battery warning, and a hot battery warning.
Low Battery Warning
When the battery charge drops below 10%, a warning symbol will appear on the status bar of the connected ZOLEO app. Additionally, the power LED on the ZOLEO communicator will light up amber, accompanied by a descending tone emitted at regular intervals. If you plan to continue using the ZOLEO communicator, please recharge the battery as soon as possible.
High Battery Warning
If the battery becomes too hot during charging, a warning symbol will appear on the status bar of the ZOLEO app, and the power LED on the ZOLEO communicator will double flash red. Charging will automatically halt and will resume once the battery temperature returns to a safe level.
