This article reviews how to activate your ZOLEO Device if you are using a desktop version of our website, and it includes screenshots.

Requirements
These are the requirements to complete activation using a computer. To see how to activate using a mobile device, please visit: How To Activate your ZOLEO on Mobile.
- Access to Internet.
- Chrome is the preferred browser, MacOS users can use Safari (the most recent version).
- Your credit card information.
- Emergency Contact information (minimum 2 contacts) including name, email address, and phone number.
- 15-20 minutes to complete.
Outcome
- ZOLEO device will have service active within an hour of finalizing.
- Two SOS contacts and one Check-In contact will be set up.
- Your billing period starts on the same date and matches the date of activation.
- Your first invoice will be created and it includes the activation fee and the plan charge for the upcoming billing period.
NOTE: No payment will be debited at the time of activation. You will receive an email notification shortly after advising your invoice is ready. Your payment will be processed the day after your invoice is ready.
How to Create a MyZOLEO Account
1. Go to MyZOLEO.com and click on Sign Up.
2. Enter your email address (this should be your regular email address) and create a password. This will be your login information to the portal. Click on Sign Up.
3. Confirm your account by entering the code that will be sent to your email address. Click on Confirm Account to continue.
Please do not exit the confirmation page or you won't be able to access it again. If you do close the verification page and cannot enter your code, please contact our Customer Experience Team at ZOLEO Contact Us.
4. Provide your details and select your region:
- Name
- Surname
- Select billing country
5. Optionally tick "I'd like to be notified about new promotions or products" to receive updates and device usage tips.
6. Click Save.
After you have completed these steps, you will have created your online MyZOLEO Account. You will be taken to “My Account”.
How to Activate
1. Charge your device first. If you like, you can wait until you see the device is charged before proceeding to activate it. Here’s more information on charging your ZOLEO.
2. From your MyZOLEO account, navigate to the menu option Devices & Plans, and click on Add New Device+.
3. Add Device - Complete the information by entering the following:

IMEI of the device (15-digit identifier) |
b | Serial Number (S/N, six digits) |
c | Nickname – this is the device’s name and is required. It appears on the "from" field in any emails sent with ZOLEO and in check-in messages. It is also included in any updates related to your ZOLEO device sent to your login email (i.e. status change, when an app creates a follow-me link, or if an SOS is started/ended). |
d | ZOLEO Email address – this is where you choose the name before the @zoleo.com email associated with your device (i.e. johndoe). Do not add any domains after your name (@gmail.com, @hotmail.com, etc.) or the email address won't be accepted. |
e | ZOLEO SMS number – Shows the region for SMS number is from. Only EU subscribers can select from more than one region. |
4. Pick a Plan – Pick the plan you prefer to activate. Here’s a link to view our plans.
- Once you click on a plan, a prompt will show up to accept our terms and conditions. You can see our terms and conditions at ZOLEO Service Terms.
- Review the terms and conditions of use, and if you agree tick the checkbox next to “I accept…” and hit Accept to return to the plan page with your selected plan now with a solid border around it. Scroll down and hit Next to proceed.
5. Add Features - Add Location Share+ Feature – select if you’d like to have the Location Share+ feature added to your account.

6. Contacts - Add your first contacts – select two SOS Contacts and a first Check-In Contact to start. Please note the following:
- We recommend you do not use yourself as an SOS Contact. This contact is an emergency contact and should be someone who can be reached if an SOS event is triggered.
- Be sure to have the right email and number for your contacts.
- If you’re using an SOS Contact as a Check-in Contact, please note you do not need to re-enter their full information, simply start typing their name until the drop-down shows their information and select it to fill the fields.
- You will need to select the contact method type only for the Check-In, this is how they will receive your Check-In messages.
You can add the rest of your Check-in contacts once you have completed the activation, as well as managing the contacts you added. You can refer to this article for more information: ZOLEO Contacts Management.
7. Pay & Activate – You’re now on the checkout page. Your name will be filled in the name fields. Be sure to review the Options Details of the purchase to make sure they match what you chose.
Complete the payment information to set up payment:

- Complete the address portion of the form. Fill in the following:
- Street Address (or PO BOX)
- City
- State/Province
- Zip/Postal Code
- Phone number
- Hit “Save Address”, which should appear in Green once you’ve completed the address information.
- You’ll know this is completed when the address you entered shows up under the information with an Edit button under it. If you need to change your address, you can do so by hitting Edit.
- Complete the Credit Card information and complete "I'm not a robot" CAPTCHA.
- Once completed, the Place Order button will turn red.
- Complete the address portion of the form. Fill in the following:
If the Place Order button doesn’t turn red, ensure you have entered the following information right:
- Check the address on file has been completed, and is showing up as shown in the screenshot in step 7.3.
- Make sure all the credit card information is filled in, as per the screenshot in step 7.4.
- Complete the captcha until you see a green checkmark as in the screenshot above these points.
