Balance of monthly plan

How does one know how many messages (email or sms) are remaining on your months plan as you do not know if messages have been sent/received while in cell coverage or not?

  I was looking for the same thing. I found that we are notified when we've used 50% and 80% of messages, but I wanted more specific. It's not automated, but if you go to chat you can count them yourself. If the date and time stamp has a satellite symbol next to it, it's charged to the monthly plan. If it doesn't have that symbol, it's over cellular data.
