The ZOLEO can send a check-in message to SMS or email contacts which includes your latitude and longitude. The recipient of the check-in message is set through your online account on https://www.zoleo.com/. Instructions for configuring your check-in contacts can be found here: https://support.zoleo.com/kb/articles/13.
Also note, the check-in message will only send through ZOLEO to the Iridium satellite network. Check-ins will not send over Wi-Fi or cellular.
1. Send a check-in message from the ZOLEO device by pressing and holding the check-in button or by selecting the check-in icon from the Chats page using your connected ZOLEO App.
2. Check that the LEDs on the ZOLEO device flash green in turn (indicating that the message is sending). The ZOLEO device will stop the LEDs and emit an ascending tone when the message is sent. If the Check-in LED is lit amber, check the that ZOLEO device has an unobstructed view of the sky and try again.
3. Allow a few minutes for the message to transmit.
