ZOLEO now provides automated timely updates on your satellite message usage. If you currently subscribe to the Basic or In Touch monthly service plans you will receive a notification once a portion and/or all of your satellite messages from your service plan have been consumed. You’ll also have the ability to purchase a one-time top-up bundle of additional messages. This can be helpful if you find that you’ve used most or all of your messages, still require more for the duration of your trip, and would like to avoid incurring overage charges.
Who receives notifications?
When a usage notification is sent, it is sent to the account owner’s email address (this is the email address used to sign up for your ZOLEO account) and directly to the application of the user who is currently linked to the ZOLEO app.
When are notification sent?
Basic Plan: Users receive an update once 50% and 100% of the messages included in the service plan have been consumed.
For example: 50% = 13 messages and 100% = 25 messages
In Touch Plan: Users receive an update once 80% and 100% of the messages included in the service plan have been consumed.
For example: 80% = 200 messages and 100% = 250 messages
Users will also receive an update once all of the messages from the message top-up bundle have been consumed.
Note: Existing proration rules apply with rate plan changes.
Who can purchase a message top-up bundle?
The account owner and the user who is currently linked to the ZOLEO app have the option to purchase message top-up bundles.
How do I purchase a message top-up bundle?
Purchasing a message top-up bundle is simple. This can be done using your ZOLEO online account or directly from the ZOLEO app at any time. Usage notifications will also contain instructions on how to complete the purchase.
Message top-up bundles of 20 messages and 75 messages are available for purchase.
To add a message top-up bundle using the ZOLEO app, simply reply to the notification you received using the appropriate keyword.
- To add 20 messages, reply with Add20
- To add 75 messages, reply with Add75
You’ll also receive a confirmation message in the app once your message top-up bundle has been successfully added.

Note: Top-up bundles can be added at any time and you can purchase as many as you would like. Bundles added will only be available for the remainder of the current billing cycle and do not carry over. All bundles are non-refundable.
