ZOLEO Usage Notifications & Message Top-Up Bundles - February 4, 2021

by Lu Parente
in Release Updates

We hope you’re enjoying your ZOLEO experience! While you’ve been out in the backcountry, we’ve been hard at work on some terrific new features. We couldn’t wait to tell you about them.

Track Monthly Message Usage

Ever wonder how much of your monthly message allocation you’ve used? We thought so, that’s why we’ve introduced automated timely updates on your satellite message usage. You’ll know how many you’ve used, approximately how many remain and manage usage if you’re concerned about overage charges.

Here's how it works:

Notifications are sent to the account owner’s email and directly to the application of the user who is currently linked in the ZOLEO app. You’ll also be able to reply to a ZOLEO app notification message allowing you to add more messages to your current plan (see details under Top Up bundles). You can also add a top-up bundle at any time by logging in to your ZOLEO account.

Top Up Your Satellite Messages

Add extra satellite messages any time, even while off-the grid, to avoid overage fees. All you have to do is respond to the notification in the ZOLEO app to add a one-time top up of messages while in satellite coverage.

Add a one-time top up bundle of additional messages to supplement those included with your monthly plan:

  • 20 Messages
  • 75 Messages

The additional messages will be available for the remainder of the billing cycle. Since this bundle is a one-time addition, there is no need to cancel it. Top up bundles can also be added by logging in to your ZOLEO account.

We’ve given the device card that’s used to display your ZOLEO device information a whole new look and feel, making it simple to manage your devices and your assigned SOS and Check-In contacts. Take a moment to become familiar with new the layout.

  • When viewing your device, you’ll now see two tabs, one for Account Information, and another for Contacts.

  • The Account Information tab displays relevant information about your device using three sections:
    • Device Information – This is where you’ll see your ZOLEO device IMEI, dedicated SMS number and email address, and your warranty expiration information.
    • Plan Information – This is where your current monthly rate plan is displayed. Use the drop-down to perform rate plan changes.
    • Other Details – Here you’ll see the app user that is currently linked to your ZOLEO device and your ZOLEO device status.
