This article explains when a Bluetooth PIN is expected and what to do if your phone asks for one while connecting your ZOLEO device.
Linking a ZOLEO 1500
When linking a ZOLEO 1500 to the ZOLEO app, you will be prompted to enter a Bluetooth PIN. This is expected and is part of the normal linking process.
The Bluetooth PIN is printed on the device label located on the bottom of your ZOLEO 1500.
Enter the PIN when prompted, then continue following the instructions in the ZOLEO app.
Note: The Bluetooth PIN is only required the first time you connect the ZOLEO 1500 to a smartphone. You may be prompted to enter it again if the device is removed or forgotten from your phone's Bluetooth settings.
For complete linking instructions, please refer to How To Link Your ZOLEO Device to the ZOLEO App.
My Phone Is Asking for a Bluetooth PIN in the Bluetooth Settings
If you opened your phone's Bluetooth settings and selected your ZOLEO device manually, your phone may ask for a Bluetooth PIN.
If you are prompted for a PIN when connecting to the ZOLEO, back out of your phone settings and open the ZOLEO app to connect.
The ZOLEO device should be linked through the ZOLEO app rather than through your phone's Bluetooth settings.
To continue:
- Cancel the Bluetooth pairing request.
- Close your phone's Bluetooth settings.
- Open the ZOLEO app.
- Follow the linking process within the app.
For complete linking instructions, refer to How To Link Your ZOLEO Device to the ZOLEO App.
