This article explains how to charge your ZOLEO device and provides charging recommendations to help maximize battery performance.
These instructions apply to both the ZOLEO 1000 and the ZOLEO 1500.
Charging Cable
Each device includes a USB charging cable in the box.
- ZOLEO 1000: Micro-USB
- ZOLEO 1500: USB-C
If you need a replacement cable, you can use any standard cable with the appropriate connector for your device.
Before You Begin
Before using your ZOLEO device for the first time, fully charge the battery.
For the best battery performance:
- Charge your device regularly.
- Avoid allowing the battery to discharge completely whenever possible.
How To Charge Your ZOLEO Device
- Open the protective USB port cover.
- Connect the supplied charging cable to your ZOLEO device.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB-compliant charger.
We recommend using a wall charger capable of supplying at least 1.5 A, such as a modern smartphone charger.
- Ensure the cable is fully seated in the charging port. If necessary, apply gentle pressure for a few seconds until you hear a tone and the charging indicator illuminates.
- Allow the battery to charge until the Power LED turns green.
Charging Indicators
While charging:
- The Power LED is solid amber.
- If the device is powered on, the Power LED flashes at regular intervals.
When charging is complete:
- The Power LED turns green.
Charging Temperature
Charge your ZOLEO device only when the ambient temperature is between 0°C and 45°C (32°F and 113°F).
If you attempt to charge the device outside this temperature range:
- The ZOLEO app displays a charging warning.
- The Power LED indicates a charging fault.
Battery Care
To help maximize battery life:
- Avoid leaving your device connected to a charger for extended periods.
- Disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged.
- Store the device in a cool, dry location when it is not in use for extended periods.
Although your ZOLEO device includes circuitry designed to protect the battery during charging, keeping it connected to a charger continuously may reduce long-term battery performance.
