A Location Share+ automatic location sharing session can be started or stopped directly from your ZOLEO device, or within the ZOLEO app. This article provides instructions for starting and stopping a location-sharing session using your ZOLEO device.
These instructions apply to both the ZOLEO 1000 and ZOLEO 1500.
Note: You must be subscribed to the Location Share+ add-on to use this feature. To learn more, please refer to Location Share+ Overview. To add the feature to your plan, please refer to How to Add Location Share+.
Start a Location Share+ Session
To start a Location Share+ session from your device:
- Press and hold the Check-In button for three seconds.
- Release the button when you hear a positive audible tone.
Your device will then indicate that the session has started:
- ZOLEO 1000: The LEDs begin spinning green while the first location update is being sent. Once the update is successfully transmitted, the Check-In LED begins double-blinking green to indicate that the Location Share+ session is active.
- ZOLEO 1500: The Check-In LED immediately begins double-blinking green to confirm that the Location Share+ session has started. The LEDs do not spin green while the first location update is being sent.
Stop a Location Share+ Session
To stop a Location Share+ session from your device:
- Press and hold the Check-In button for approximately three seconds.
- Release the button when you hear a positive audible tone.
Your device will send one final location update before ending the session.
Once the final location update has been successfully transmitted, the device emits the successfully sent audible tone, and the Check-In LED stops double blinking, indicating that the Location Share+ session has ended.
