This article explains how to properly store your ZOLEO device when it is not in use. These instructions apply to both the ZOLEO 1000 and the ZOLEO 1500.
Storing your device correctly helps protect the battery and ensures it is ready to perform when you need it.
Before You Store Your ZOLEO
Before putting your ZOLEO device into storage, complete the following steps:
- Charge the battery fully. Connect your ZOLEO device to a charger. The Power LED lights amber while charging and turns green when the battery is fully charged. If the device is powered on, the LED flashes at regular intervals during charging.
- Choose a suitable storage location. Store your device in a dry, moisture-free environment at room temperature. Keep it away from direct sunlight and avoid areas with extreme heat or cold, such as vehicles, garages, or outdoor sheds.
- Power off and disconnect. Once fully charged, disconnect the device from the charger, turn it off, and place it in your chosen storage location.
Important:
- Do not store your device with a fully discharged battery.
- Do not leave your device connected to a charger during storage.
Maintaining your ZOLEO device during storage
A battery that sits fully discharged for an extended period can lose capacity permanently. To help preserve battery health while your device is not in use:
- Charge every six months. Connect your ZOLEO device to its charger every six months, or sooner if needed, to keep the battery in good condition.
- Power off after charging. Once the battery is full, turn the device off before returning it to storage.
