This article explains how to add and manage SOS and Check-in contacts in your MyZOLEO account, and how to assign those contacts to your ZOLEO device. It includes screenshots from the mobile experience for reference.

Managing MyZOLEO Contacts
You can manage the contacts saved to your MyZOLEO account at any time, whether or not they are currently assigned to a ZOLEO device. This includes updating a contact's email address, phone number, and preferred language. If the contact is already assigned to a device, any changes you save will automatically apply to their information on that device as well.
Follow these steps to add or edit a contact in your MyZOLEO account.
- Log in at www.myzoleo.com/customer/account.
- Go to the My Account drop-down menu and select SOS and Check-in Contacts.

- From the SOS and Check-in Contacts area, select the + sign under Add new contact.

- The Add New Contact form will appear. Fill in the required information and select Save. Your new contact will appear shortly.

- To edit a contact already saved to your account, open their contact card, make your changes, and select Save.
- If the contact is assigned to a ZOLEO device, the updated information will automatically apply to that device as well.
Important: To use a contact as an active SOS or Check-in contact on your ZOLEO device, you must assign them to a device. Follow the steps in the next section to assign a contact.
How To Add or Remove Assigned Contacts
For a contact to function as an active SOS or Check-in contact, they must be assigned to your ZOLEO device in MyZOLEO. The steps below explain how to open a contact's details and navigate to the assignment screen.
- From the SOS and Check-in Contacts area, select the drop-down arrow to the right of the contact's name to open their contact details.

- Select Assign Contact to Device.

- You will be taken to the Devices & Plans page. Scroll down to the ZOLEO device you want to assign the contact to.
From the Devices & Plans page, follow the relevant steps below depending on whether you are changing an SOS contact, changing an existing Check-in contact, or adding a new Check-in contact.
Changing an SOS Contact
To replace an existing SOS contact on your ZOLEO device, scroll to the SOS contact section on the Devices & Plans page. Select the name of the contact you want to replace (SOS Contact 1 or SOS Contact 2) and choose the new contact from the list.
Select Save All to confirm the change.

Changing an Existing Check-In Contact
To replace an existing Check-In and Location Share+ contact on your ZOLEO device, scroll to the Check-In contact section on the Devices & Plans page. Select the contact's name and choose the new contact from the list. Confirm the Contact Method for the updated contact.
Select Save All to confirm the change.
Adding a New Check-In Contact
To add a new Check-In contact to your ZOLEO device, scroll to the Check-In contact section on the Devices & Plans page. Select the blue-shaded Name field and choose the desired contact from the list. Then select a Contact Method for that contact.
Contact Method is how the contact will be notified when you send a Check-in message. Options include SMS, Email, SMS & Email, or the ZOLEO app.
If you have the Location Share+ feature and your contact has the ZOLEO app, a confirmation will appear under the contact's information indicating they will receive Location Share+ updates.

Select Save All to confirm the new contact.

The system will update your contact setup. Once the update is complete, the change will also be reflected in the ZOLEO app.
How To Ensure a Check-In Contact Receives Location Share+
Location Share+ updates are sent exclusively through the ZOLEO app. Check-in messages, by contrast, are sent according to the contact's selected Contact Method, which can be SMS, Email, SMS & Email, or the ZOLEO app.
For a Check-in contact to receive Location Share+ updates, both of the following must apply:
- The contact must be added to your MyZOLEO account and assigned to your ZOLEO device as a Check-in contact.
- The phone number on the contact's MyZOLEO profile must match the phone number they use for the ZOLEO app.
