This article covers how to change your ZOLEO monthly service plan and how plan changes affect your billing.
Before You Begin
You can change your monthly plan through the MyZOLEO website. You cannot change your plan using the ZOLEO app.
You can log in to your MyZOLEO account from a smartphone, tablet, or computer web browser at MyZOLEO.com.
Plan changes take effect immediately, and your billing for the current cycle will be prorated based on the date of the change. You can review all available ZOLEO plans at ZOLEO Monthly Plans.
Important notice for customers on legacy plans: If you're currently on a legacy ZOLEO plan (Basic, In Touch, or Unlimited), please be aware that changing, pausing, or cancelling your plan will move you permanently to the current plan structure. Once you've made this change, you won't be able to return to your legacy plan or pricing. If you'd like to understand your current plan before making any changes, please contact our Customer Experience Team at ZOLEO Contact Us.

How Plan Changes Affect Your Billing
When you change your ZOLEO monthly plan during a billing cycle, the change takes effect immediately. This applies to upgrades, downgrades, and pauses.
- Your previous plan is billed only up to the day of the change.
- Your new plan is billed from that day through the rest of the billing cycle, including a prorated share of its included message allowance.
These prorated amounts appear on your next regular invoice. They are not billed as a separate charge at the time of the change.
Example: If you're on the Protect plan and downgrade to the Prepare plan (50 messages) on Day 20 of a 30-day billing cycle:
- Days 1–20 (Protect plan): unlimited messages.
- Days 21–30 (Prepare plan): approximately one-third of the 50-message allowance, or about 17 messages.
- Your monthly fee for the cycle is prorated accordingly: the Protect rate for the first 20 days, the Prepare rate for the remaining 10.
The same logic applies in reverse for an upgrade (Prepare → Protect) and to legacy-to-2026 migrations.
Tip: Changing your plan at the start of a new billing cycle gets you the full message allocation for your new plan from day one, rather than a prorated share.
