To pause your ZOLEO monthly plan, log in to your account at myzoleo.com from a smartphone, tablet, or computer web browser. Your monthly plan can't be paused using the ZOLEO app.
Important: Pausing takes effect immediately. If you want to continue using your device until the end of your billing cycle, wait to pause until you no longer need service.
Note: Pausing is available once per billing cycle after your initial 3-month service term is complete.
How to Pause Your ZOLEO Monthly Plan
- Log in at myzoleo.com.
- Navigate to the Devices & Plans menu.
- Locate your ZOLEO device and expand it using the drop-down next to the device name.
- Select Pause. A confirmation prompt will appear.
- Select Yes, Pause to confirm, then press Done.
- You'll receive a confirmation email once your plan is paused.
Important notice for customers on legacy plans: If you're currently on a legacy ZOLEO plan (Basic, In Touch, or Unlimited), pausing your plan will affect your pricing when you return. When you resume, you'll be moved to the current plan structure and won't be able to return to your legacy plan or pricing. If you'd like to understand your options before making any changes, please contact our Customer Experience Team at Contact Us.
What Happens While Your Plan Is Paused
While your ZOLEO plan is paused:
- Your ZOLEO device will not transmit messages via satellite. This includes SOS and check-in messages. Your device cannot be used for emergency alerting while paused.
- You won't be able to generate new location points in ZOLEO Track.
- You can still use the ZOLEO app to send and receive app-to-app messages over cellular and Wi-Fi.
- Your dedicated ZOLEO SMS number and email address are kept on hold and will be reactivated when you restart your service.
How Pausing Affects Your Billing
Pausing your plan takes effect immediately. When you pause mid-cycle, your plan fees are prorated for the days you were active.
Your previous plan is billed only up to the day you pause, and the pause fee applies from that day through the rest of the billing cycle. These prorated amounts appear on your next regular invoice, not as a separate charge at the time you pause.
If you have Location Share+, that feature is also paused when your plan is paused. Any additional charges you see alongside the pause fee are proration adjustments from your previous billing cycle, not new Location Share+ charges.
