This article explains how to export activity data from ZOLEO Track to a CSV file. You can use the exported file to review device activity, create reports, or analyze your data in spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
ZOLEO Track does not support importing data. Export is a one-way download of activity data that already exists in ZOLEO Track.

How To Export ZOLEO Track Activity Data
You can export activity data from ZOLEO Track by selecting the device or devices and the date range you want to include. The CSV downloads directly when the export request is accepted.

- Select the ZOLEO device or devices you want to include.
- Select the date range you want to export.
- Select the Export button (describe the button and its location).
- Wait while ZOLEO Track generates the export.
- Save or open the downloaded CSV file.

Note: ZOLEO Track downloads the CSV file directly. It does not display a preview before the download begins.
Closing the export window after the download starts does not cancel the download. Your web browser continues downloading the file in the background.
What's Included in the CSV Export?
A ZOLEO Track CSV export includes activity records that match the selected devices and date range. The exact rows depend on the activity generated by the devices during that period.
The CSV can include these fields:
- Device Name: Name assigned to the ZOLEO device
- IMEI: Device IMEI number
- Activity Type: Type of recorded activity
- Device Type: Device model
- Location Coordinates: Latitude and longitude
- Speed
- Altitude
- Battery percentage
- Address: Address resolved from GPS coordinates
- Timestamp: Date and time of the activity
- Notes: Additional information, such as failed Locate requests
Activity types can include:
- LocationShare+ Start
- LocationShare+ Update
- LocationShare+ End
- Location Update
- Check-in
- SOS
- SOS Canceled.
A ZOLEO Track CSV export includes the devices and date range selected at the time of export. You can export one device or several devices. If no specific devices are selected, all eligible devices may be included by default.
Only activity inside the selected time range is included. If a Location Share+ session starts before the selected range or ends after the selected range, the CSV includes only the activity points that fall inside the selected range.
A device with no activity in the selected date range does not appear in the CSV. Deactivated devices are not included in the export.
Troubleshooting CSV Export Issues
No CSV File Was Downloaded
If no file is downloaded:
- Verify that the selected ZOLEO devices generated activity during the selected date range.
- Confirm that the correct devices and dates were selected.
If there is no activity to export, ZOLEO Track may display a message instead of generating an empty CSV file.
The Export Is Too Large
If the selected date range or device selection contains a large amount of activity, ZOLEO Track may ask you to reduce the amount of data being exported.
Try one of the following:
- Select a shorter date range.
- Export fewer devices at one time.
- Create multiple smaller exports instead of one large export.
Expected Activity Is Missing
If activity is missing from the exported CSV file:
- Confirm that you selected the correct device or devices.
- Verify that the selected date range includes the expected activity.
- Remember that only activity generated during the selected time range is exported.
Devices with no activity during the selected period are not included in the CSV export.
