What You Can See on the ZOLEO Track Map
The ZOLEO Track map shows the last reported location and activity history for eligible ZOLEO devices on your MyZOLEO account.
Map Views
You can choose from the following map views:
- Street
- Outdoor
- Satellite
The selected map layer stays in place for your current browser session. Outdoor and Satellite views also support 3D terrain controls, which can help you view elevation in perspective.
Map Controls
ZOLEO Track also includes map controls, including:
- Zoom to move closer to or farther from the map.
- Fit to View to adjust the map so searched or filtered devices are visible.
- User location to show your current location on the map after asking for browser permission.
Device Markers
Select a device marker to:
- View device information
- Open the activity panel
- Display the device's breadcrumb trail
Selecting a device marker opens more details. You can use Show activity to open the activity panel and view the device's activity trail.
How ZOLEO Track Device States Work
ZOLEO Track uses device states to show the most recent activity reported by each ZOLEO device. Device markers and device cards update automatically as new activity is received.
Most states remain active for 24 hours and then move to Not active.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| SOS | The ZOLEO device triggered an SOS alert |
| Live | The ZOLEO device is sending Location Share+ updates |
| Check-in | The ZOLEO device sent a manual Check-in message |
| Location update | A Locate request received a location response |
| Not active | No current activity has been reported in the last 24 hours |
Important: SOS activity is prioritized. Devices in an active SOS state remain visible at the top of the device list until the SOS is canceled.
How to Search and Filter Devices
ZOLEO Track lets you search and filter the device list when your account has multiple devices. You can search using:
- Device name
- IMEI
- Serial number
Search begins after you enter at least two characters. Search results are sorted by the closest name match and recent activity. You can select more than one device so multiple devices appear on the map at the same time.
If a search has no results, ZOLEO Track keeps your existing selection until you choose something else.
You can filter devices by:
Live
Check-in
Not active
Filters apply to both the map and the device list. Filter options are based on the device's latest activity in the past 24 hours. The SOS chip appears only when at least one device is in SOS.
Filters cannot be combined. For example, you can't select Live and Check-in at the same time.
How to View Device Activity and Breadcrumb Trails
To view a device's activity:
- Select the device from the map or device list.
- Select Show Activity.
- The activity panel opens and the breadcrumb trail appears on the map.
The ZOLEO Track activity panel shows the selected device's activity in reverse chronological order, with the newest activity first.
Activity is grouped by calendar date, and Location Share+ sessions can be collapsed or expanded.
Depending on the device's activity, the breadcrumb trail may include:
- Location Share+ updates
- Check-in messages
- SOS activity
- Locate requests
Selecting an activity item centers the map on that location. On mobile, the activity panel appears as a bottom drawer that you can expand or collapse. On desktop, the activity panel appears beside the map.
When you select a different device, ZOLEO Track automatically centers the map on the newly selected device.
How to Read Activity Details
Each activity item in ZOLEO Track can show details about the reported location. Depending on the activity type, you may see:
- Activity type
- Date and time
- Address or GPS coordinates
- Speed
- Altitude
- Battery level
- Network used
Battery level is only displayed when recent activity is available. If the last reported activity is more than one week old, the battery level is hidden because it may no longer be accurate.
When you're zoomed out, activity points may be grouped together to make the map easier to read. Zoom in to view individual activity points.
Selecting a location entry can copy the coordinates to your clipboard, depending on the device activity view and browser behavior.
How ZOLEO Track Displays Addresses, Coordinates, and Times
When available, ZOLEO Track converts GPS coordinates into a street address.
In remote areas, a street address may not be available. In these cases, GPS coordinates are displayed instead.
Displaying coordinates instead of an address does not indicate a problem with the reported location.
Activity times are displayed using your browser's time zone.
If your browser is set to a different time zone than the device's location, the displayed time may differ from the local time where the activity occurred.
For example, if you view activity from another country while your browser is set to Eastern Time, ZOLEO Track displays the activity in Eastern Time.
How Activity Updates in ZOLEO Track
ZOLEO Track can update automatically when you are viewing recent activity and your browser has a stable internet connection.
Recent activity updates automatically while you're in the Last 24 Hours view.
If you're viewing an older date range, refresh the page or change the date range to see newly reported activity.
If ZOLEO Track is open in multiple browser tabs at the same time, updates may take slightly longer to appear.
Why Activity May Not Appear
Activity may not appear in ZOLEO Track if the ZOLEO device has not sent a location event for the selected date range. Check that you are viewing the correct device and date range before troubleshooting further.
Location Share+ updates may not appear if the ZOLEO device has a no-movement setting enabled and the device has not moved.
A Check-in message may also be missing from the map if no location was reported with the Check-in.
A deactivated device does not appear in the ZOLEO Track map or device list. If a device is active but still missing, confirm that you are signed in to the correct MyZOLEO account.
If any expected activity is still missing after checking the device, account, and date range, please contact ZOLEO Customer Care for help reviewing the device status.
